COVID 19: What to do if your Vehicle Finance is due to end during COVID 19

Added: 20 April 2020

If your Vehicle Finance is due to end during COVID 19 and you're not sure what to do next, here are some pieces of key information if you've got finance with SEAT or SKODA Financial Serivces.

If you are coming to the end of a PCP agreement then there are 3 options available to you.

These are:

  1. Hand the car back to the finance company and walk away without any further payment – This is subject to a “fair ware and tare” vehicle inspection, mileage check, and and assessment to make sure that you have stayed within the T&C’s of your agreement. Details of this check can be found at the following website: https://www.bvrla.co.uk/fleet-services/fair-wear-and-tear.html
  1. Keep your car and pay the final payment – The lump sum final payment will automatically be taken from your account unless you make contact with your finance company to make other arrangements. If you intend to pay of the final lump sum payment then you don’t need to do anything else. If you want to keep your car and re-finance the final payment into affordable monthly payments then you will need to contact your finance company to arrange this.
  1. Part Exchange your car – The good news is you can still upgrade to your next New car at White Dove Garages. If your final payment is not due within the next 28 days we can extend your current finance agreement until our dealership is re-open and it is safe for you to collect your new car. Please do not hesitate to get in contact with us to discuss this. We can be emailed on info@whitedove.uk.com!

If your preferred option is either 1 or 2, then you will need to contact your finance company to have this discussion with them. If your finance is with either SKODA or SEAT Finance then recommend that you use the following form to get in contact with them: https://customer.vwfs.co.uk/contact-us.html.

Volkswagen Financial Services will then contact you directly to discuss your requirements. Please note: the response from VWFS Finance may take longer than usual due to the current circumstances, many of the colleagues are working from home.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to e mail info@whitedove.uk.com and we will get back to you and assist where we can.

Take care. Stay Home. Stay Safe.
