The brand new CITIGOe iV will be unveiled during the quarter finals of the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships in Bratislava.
ŠKODA are entering the E-Mobility as a new chapter in its history by launching their iV sub brand. ŠKODA iV covers the development of the brand's family of electrified products, as well as a special ecosystem for mobility solutions.
As part of ŠKODA's 2025 Strategy, they are investing two billion euros into the development of their electric vehicles and mobility services. This is their largest investment programme to date.
In the CITIGOe iV's premiere, ŠKODA present their first all-electric vehicle, which will make E Mobility Simply Clever by offering quick charging, long ranges, and affordable prices.
The all-new ŠKODA CITIGOe Hybrid
The CITIGOe iV is the brand’s first all-electric vehicle. At 3,597mm long, the zero-emission city car is perfect for urban areas. Its electric motor delivers 61kW and the lithium-ion battery allows for a range of up to 265km in the WLTP cycle. If the power runs out, the battery can be charged to 80 per cent in one hour at a 40kW DC fast charger using a combined charging system (CCS) charging cable.

ŠKODA's iV brand has been designed to develop a holistic and connected E Mobility ecosystem.
This includes affordable wall box chargers with various power outputs, which allow customers to recharge their vehicles in the comfort of their own home. The iV programme will also offer mobile online services through ŠKODA Connect that will provide services such as an intelligent charging station finder.
What is the future of ŠKODA's iV brand?
In future, this service will offer the option of reserving a customer’s chosen charging station. Another highlight is the ŠKODA e charge card that allows customers to easily pay to charge their vehicle all over Europe – regardless of the country they are in or the provider they are using.
ŠKODA is taking a stance in support of environmentally friendly mobility, even beyond vehicle production. By 2025, the company will invest approximately 32 million euros in the development of an internal charging infrastructure featuring almost 7,000 charging points in and around its three Czech plants in Mladá Boleslav, Kvasiny and Vrchlabí.
What does ŠKODA iV stand for?
The ‘i’ in the name iV stands for the ŠKODA iV characteristics of ‘innovative’ and ‘intelligent’, ‘iconic’ and ‘inspiring’. Every ŠKODA iV is also ‘individual’ with numerous trim level and customisation options, and ‘intuitive’. The ‘V’ in iV stands for vehicle.
When can you order the ŠKODA CITIGOe Hybrid iV?
As of yet, White Dove ŠKODA have not been informed of a specific release date. However, the CITIGOe iV should be available to order towards the end of 2019.
